Our Initiatives
Working to develop our customers’
businesses and contribute to society
At Nihon Engineering, we believe that the vital role entrusted to us is to build trust with our customers by providing safe, prompt, and accurate services based on the technology and know-how we have accumulated through our wealth of experience, and to work tirelessly to achieve this on a daily basis.
To this end, we will comply with laws and regulations, prioritize safety and consideration for the global environment, and through sound business activities, create corporate value that our employees, customers, and local communities can trust.
Safety
Our highest priority is "Safety first" when it comes to taking on daily work.
Every morning all of employees thoroughly confirm safety at morning meetings, and we regularly implement risk anticipation activities and accident prevention training. We are working hard to create an environment where all employees have a high level of safety awareness and can work on their tasks with peace of mind.
CSR
Through our reefer container maintenance operations, Nihon Engineering is undertaking CSR activities with the aim of helping to realize a prosperous society and being a company worthy of public trust.
We are committed to compliance with laws, rules and a code of social ethics, providing safe, prompt, and quality services, building fair and proper business relationships, understanding and cooperating with environmental protection activities, striving for environmentally friendly operations, and creating a safe and comfortable work environment.
Employment of foreign nationals
We are proactively employing ambitious human resources regardless of their nationality, and at present we have six industrious and excellent staff members from Vietnam who have no problems doing their duties in Japanese. Their working conditions and company benefits are the same as our Japanese employees, and we have prepared an environment that supports growth, such as covering costs related to obtaining qualifications and a loan system for the cost of getting a car license. In addition, one Vietnamese employee who joined our company last year has already acquired certification as a Class 3 Refrigeration Mechanical Manager. Other Vietnamese employees are also studying hard to obtain certifications.
Child care support
We are also putting effort into supporting child-raising as part of our efforts to treasure the lives of our employees.
We encourage our male employees to take one month of childcare leave so that we can support them in balancing work and childcare. We are building a system that supports both home and work for employees by securing periods of time when they can concentrate on raising their children with peace of mind.
Compliance
Nihon Engineering is involved in the highly public work of import/export and logistics, and with a renewed awareness of the importance of compliance, we have established a common code of conduct and are working to ensure that all employees throughout the company are familiar with it, based on legal compliance and corporate ethics.
In risk management, we will strive to fulfill our social responsibilities by enhancing our internal control functions.
Environmental
Nihon Engineering will make every effort to promote CNP by establishing a system to proactively address environmental issues. We will also comply with laws, regulations, ordinances, agreements, and other social obligations concerning the global environment.
In the maintenance and management of reefer containers and related business activities, we are registered as a Class 1 CFC filling and recovery company, and have employees who have taken the Class 1 Refrigerant CFC handling technician training course. In this way, we strive to carry out safe operations, prevent environmental pollution, conserve resources and energy, and promote waste reduction and recycling. These will be reviewed periodically and continued in an appropriate manner. We will also make these activity policies known to all employees to raise their awareness of environmental issues.
